Angry Birds Transformers
Rovio, the developer behind the famous Angry Birds game has teased another sequel to the most download Angry Birds series. The developer has this time partnered with Hasbro to develop another Angry Birds spinoff this time with a ‘Transformers” theme. The aptly named Angry Birds Transformers will include a mobile game, consumer licensed goods and a product line from Hasbro featuring the Telepods.
“We’re really excited to combine the iconic Transformers universe with the quirky world of Angry Birds,” said Blanca Juti, Chief Marketing Officer of Rovio. “This mash-up is going to appeal to both those who grew up with the brand in the 80’s, as well as fans of the brand today. People are going to love it!”
“Angry Birds Transformers provides fans worldwide with a fun, new story and characters, and innovative ways, like our TELEPODS platform, for consumers to engage with the brand.” said John Frascotti, Chief Marketing Officer at Hasbro. “We collaborated with Rovio to create opportunities for kids and families to experience Autobirds and Deceptihogs across multiple formats and entertainment platforms, for a completely immersive branded experience.”
Although Rovio has not revealed much about the Angry Birds Transformers except a teaser image on its website. There is a speculation the Angry Birds Transformer will be an extension to Rovio’s Successful Kart racer ‘Angry Birds Go’. But that is just a speculation and we should take it with a pinch of salt. In Angry Birds Transformers you will be acting as ‘AutoBirds’ while ‘Deceptihogs’ will be the opposing front.What we get from the teaser image are five characters acting as main Transformers’ characters. Red acting as Optimus, Chuck acting as Bumblebee, Terence acting as Heatwave and Spinger acting as some character that we could not figure out. As for as Deceptihogs goes, there will be Galvatron, Soundwave, Starscream, Shockwave, Unicorn and may be Spike and Megatron (Played by Mustache Pig).
Angry Birds Stella
Rovio recently released another spinoff of the Angry Birds, this time a turn based RPG named Angry Birds Epic. Read our review of Angry Birds Epic to know more about it. Rovio is also working on another spinoff of Angry Birds, a girl-focused Angry Birds Stella. Angry Birds Stella was announced back in February this year. Angry Birds Stella features the titular pink bird from the previous Angry Birds Games.
According to Rovio CEO Mikael Hed,
“Angry Birds Stella is breaking the mold by introducing strong, passionate characters who really stand for something, while adding plenty of action and reality into the mix. The game is all about inspiration, empowerment, and other real issues”.
Angry birds Stella will follow the traditional Angry Birds approach having you taking your slingshot up the sky high trees of Golden Island. The story of Angry Birds Stella revolves around a fiercest and feistiest Angry Bird named Stella.Stella has gone to a Golden Island will sky high trees. Where she has joined up with her best friends Dahlia, Popy, Willow and Luca. Stella also had another best friend Gale but Stella’s friendship with Gale fell apart. Now Gale has gone down a dark path and is controlling a gang of Pigs.
Rovio has also promised an animated series featuring Stella and her friends. The series will have 13 episodes. The first Episode of Angry Birds Stella will be aired this November. A new episode of the Angry Birds Stella will premier every week on ToonsTV which is available through every Angry Birds game online. The series will also be broadcast on TV worldwide.
Coming Back to Angry Birds Transformers. Angry Birds Transformers will be released this year but, not before September as that is the release month for Stella. Just like the recent Angry Birds Epic, Angry Birds Transformers will be released for windows phone, iOS and Android devices at the same day.
