Google Pixel is the first google phone to carry the Google logo. While there does not have very much to desire for and the phone has a pretty heavy price tag on it, it has managed to score a lot of positive reviews. One of the new features of the Google Pixel phones is its Pixel launcher. While some might not find it very much attractive, there are many users, mostly owners of Nexus devices who were eagerly waiting for the Pixel launcher be made available for download. Today is that day as Google has just released the Pixel launcher on Google Play Store.

You can download the Pixel launcher on any Android device, however, you won’t be able to take advantage of all its features. You can easily get it to work on a Nexus smartphone, but the Pixel Launcher released on Play Store doesn’t come with any new features. Moreover, the pixel icons included are only supported by Android 7.1 Nougat.

While the Launcher currently works only on Nexus devices Google has plans to make it available to other smartphones in near future.  We are sorry for getting you excited, if you want the Pixel Launcher and do not own a Nexus, we just did not have enough space to tell you that in the title of this page.
